For those who like their outdoor adventures a bit more adrenaline fuelled, snowmobiling is a great addition to your holiday. Snowmobiling tracks are maintained throughout the resorts giving great access beyond what is easily reached by more traditional methods. An experienced guide will run through the controls and safety briefing and will then take you on a tour of the frozen wilderness.
Snowmobiling can be added as an activity on all our holidays and there is also an option with some properties to arrange your airport transfer by snowmobile. Evening tours can be organised for those keen on hunting the Northern Lights during their holiday. Contact your skiLapland specialist today for more information and your personalised activity package.
Please note that to drive the snowmobile you must hold a valid UK driving licence.
What we offer
Our activities are organised alongside our trusted resort partners and slightly different packages are offered in each resort. Below you will find a taster of what you can get involved with.
2 hour taster session
Guided snowmobile tour through the rolling fells with the option to stop for warming refreshments along the way.
Drive into the peaceful fells to discover the stunning stars that are visible in this remote region. If you’re lucky there is often a chance to see the Northern Lights as well.
For those looking to hone their skiils across a variety of terrains and conditions, a snowmobile driving academy makes for an incredible holiday.
Please contact your skiLapland specialist today for more details of what we offer in each resort.
Safety equipment will be provided for you and in some cases so will cold weather clothing – please check with you skiLapland specialist before you travel if you’re not sure about this. Snowmobiling is an outdoor sport and we recommend clothing similar to if you were skiing – several thermal layers and a good waterproof jacket and trousers. You’ll also want googles or sun glasses, gloves and sturdy waterproof boots.
